Retargeting – GadgedUp Tech

Bring back the people who almost became customers

Most visitors don't convert on the first visit. Retargeting keeps your business in front of the ones who came close, including site visitors, cart abandoners and engaged social users, until they're ready.

What's included

Everything needed to bring warm traffic back

Retargeting only works with enough site traffic to build a real audience. We'll tell you honestly if you're there yet.

Pixel & audience setup

Tracking installed across your site so visitor behavior, such as pages viewed and carts abandoned, builds real audiences.

Audience segmentation

Visitors split by intent. Someone who viewed a product differs from someone who started checkout.

Cross-channel delivery

The same warm audience followed across search, social and display, wherever they're actually browsing.

Frequency & exclusion rules

Caps in place so the same person isn't shown your ad so often it starts working against you.

Offer & sequencing strategy

Messaging that shifts the longer someone's been retargeted, rather than repeating the same ad indefinitely.

Plain-language reporting

A report every two weeks on recovered visitors and cost per lead, separate from your top-of-funnel numbers.

How we run it

From tracking setup to recovered visitors

01

Install tracking

Pixels go on your site or app so visitor behavior starts building an audience immediately.

02

Segment by intent

Audiences split by how close each visitor came to converting.

03

Launch sequenced ads

Messaging that evolves the longer someone's been in the audience.

04

Report biweekly

Recovered visitors tracked separately so you can see the channel's own return.

Priced the same way as every channel we run

Retargeting is billed as part of our management fee, at 10 to 25% of monthly ad spend, lower as spend grows. It usually runs alongside search or social spend.

Common questions

Before you start retargeting

Do I need existing traffic for this to work?

Yes. Retargeting needs a visitor pool to work from. If your site traffic is too small yet, we'll say so and suggest search or social first.

Will people see the same ad over and over?

No. Frequency caps and message sequencing are part of the setup specifically to prevent that.

Can this run on its own, without other ads?

Rarely. Retargeting works best paired with a channel like Paid Search or Social Ads that's generating the initial visitors.

How is this different from just running social ads again?

Retargeting audiences are built from actual site behavior, not general interest targeting. It's a warmer, more specific list.

Curious how many visitors you're currently losing?

We'll look at your traffic and tell you honestly whether retargeting is ready to work for you yet.
